President's Message


Since the establishment of new vision and mission, UBE Group (Thailand) has focused its business operation on innovation and efficiency improvement under the vision “Success Driver through Innovative Technology and Operational Excellence”. Being the strategic manufacturing location for UBE Industries of Japan, we strive to become the most efficient producer and the innovative center for technology improvement.

Following our CSR policy, we aim to improve the community in which we live and to create new value through the anticipation of social needs especially on growing environmental challenges. In the past years, we have achieved several successful environmental projects which marked the milestones of petrochemical industry. As global warming becomes an industry challenge and threat in the future, Thai Caprolactam PCL has become the pioneer to develop the world’s first greenhouse gas reduction project for a Caprolactam plant approved by the United Nations.

Another recent environmental preservation we have implemented is the incinerator project. Operated in early 2007, this project incinerates waste fuel and generates steam for use in production process – thus reducing steam consumption by approximately 20%.

The other notable achievement on environmental saving is water recycle project which helps alleviate water shortage in the eastern region of Thailand. With reverse-osmosis system implementation, we have recycled waste water more than 700,000 cubic meters each year from the annual consumption of 3 million cubic meters.

In order to be able to provide innovative products and solutions to our valued customers, UBE Group (Thailand) has established UBE Technical Center (Asia) Limited (UTCA) as our regional research center. UTCA will provide both technical services to our customers and also will be a source of new innovation which is the success enabler in the future competitive landscape.
 
In summary, we commit to support our customer through innovative solutions while continue to improve local communities environments in order to grow and prosper together in the future.
